Valley Young Company

The major project I'm involved with right now is the "Les Miserables" production set for June 1-4. It's been a ridiculous amount of work: imagine rehearsals for 30 cast members, 10 musicians for the orchestra, costumes, microphones, a 24-foot rotating stage - all undertaken by volunteers. Pretty unbelievable, especially in a town this size.

The funny thing is, even though it's been a ton of work, it's been the highlight of spring for me. The cast and orchestra are a lot of fun to work with, and I haven't been this excited since I got my own place. So, without further ado, here is the show info. It's the cheapest 'Les Mis' production EVER (I paid $85 in London in 1998!), so quit whining that there's nothing to do in Woodstock and get yourself to the show!

Les Miserables, at WHS. June 1-4, 7:30 pm. Includes a Sunday performance. Tickets are $8/10 in advance or $10/12 at the door.

So now our merry band of orphans is "The Valley Young Company" and people expect us to do more shows. Stay tuned...

Hi Amy:

Got a chance to finally check out the "blog". All the best in keeping up with all the current projects. And its not the "cheapest" Les Mis they'll ever see, its the "most cost effective" they will ever see.

Cheers
John
