MY multi-talented students

The kids at HHS are always up to something...usually something interesting. Steven is in my 112/122 class, because he's a good musician who doesn't need core french. Here's a video of him rockin' out at the Sabian factory in Meductic. Not bad for one's 14th birthday, n'est-pas?

VYC to meet Saturday

Looking forward to the long weekend-no teaching until Wednesday, which is almost unheard of in these parts. The first Valley Young Company meeting will be happening this Saturday at Saint James (upstairs) at 10am. I am really looking forward to visiting with all the cast I haven't seen since the show closed. We have yet to choose this year's show-if we only had a brain, maybe we could figure it out....

Miss Anderson . . .

I cannot believe the summer has come and gone so quickly, and with so many changes. But the leaves are falling, and I am getting up everyday at 6:30 to go and teach students aged 12-18 about music. The MRA had a great summer series, and the Houlton Road Trio is no more (though we are playing 'one more show' in Moncton the weekend before Halloween).

I won't be posting many events here, although I welcome others to do so. Teaching keeps me too busy to attempt keeping up on all those things. However, I will put a plug in for Seth Anderson, who will be visiting my music classes on Oct. 12th. Imagine, a real-live musician! You can check out his work at: http://www.myspace.com/sethandersonmusic. Support the locals, ya hear!
